Pit and Fissure Sealants

This dental treatment is used in children and adults. This procedure prevents food and bacteria to get stuck on the chewing surface of permanent teeth. Once the occlusal surfaces are sealed this will prevent any development of dental caries.

Fluoride Varnishes

Is a temporary topical application of flouride treatment. It can be used to prevent dental caries, tooth sensitivity and remineralization of the enamel surface of the teeth.

Root Canal

Endodontic treatment (Root Canal)

Procedure is necessary if you have a moderate to severe pain on specific tooth and other symptoms such as swelling. Main causes: Deep caries that extend into the tooth nerve (pulp). Deep restoration close to the tooth nerve (pulp). Tooth fracture by trauma or bruxism.

Recommendations

  • Brushing at least twice a day

 

  • Flossing at least once a day

 

  • Mouth Wash

 

  • Change tooth brush at least every three months

 

  • Visit your Dentist for a Periodic Exam every six months

Night Guards 

They are custom made appliances to treatment of bruxism (clinching or grinding your teeth). Bruxism condition can occur at night, but can also happen during the day if you experience high level of stress at work, heavy lifting related to type of job or gym training. This type of appliance prevent your teeth to worn down and destroyed. If you show symptom of teeth worn down, sensitivity to cold temperature. Head, neck and shoulder pains, you may be grinding your teeth.

Snore Guards 

There are many snoring prevention devices on the market. Each device  is fabricated to treat patient with simple to moderate snore symptoms. However a severe snoring can be caused by a serious medical condition called Sleep Apnea that can cause complete obstruction of the airways. Dr. Donowa do not treat Sleep Apnea, but he may refer you to a sleep disorder specialist.

Crowns (Caps) and Bridges

When a tooth is fractured by an accident, has a large restoration, or is severely damage by decay and a root canal procedure is done, Dr. Donowa recommends the placement of a crown, or cap. Crowns strengthen and protect the remaining tooth structure and can improve the appearence of your smile.

Implant

Dental Implants

Dental implants are small screws that act as artificial tooth roots when placed in the jawbone. They are made from Titanium which is a metal well accepted by the body. An abutment is then fitted to the top of the implant to create an anchor for the placement of a crown , bridge or prosthesis.

Partial Dentures

A partial denture is a removable prosthesis made to replace missing teeth. Generally dentures are made out of acrylic resin and can be combined with various metals. Dentures improve chewing ability and speech, and provide support for facial muscles.

Full Dentures (Complete Dentures)

This prosthesis are made for patients that do not have any remaining on their mouth. There are different types: Conventional Dentures and Implant supported Dentures

Porcelain Laminate Veneers 

Cosmetic dental treatment for patient that suffer from severe stain caused by medication such as Tetracycline. Multiple gaps on front teeth, misalignment of a single or multiple teeth and patient do not wish to undergo orthodontic treatment. Veneer can be done in one or two visits.

Teeth Whitening

Esthetic treatment for brighten the teeth affected by discoloration. Types of bleaching: Home bleaching, In-office bleaching, or combintion of both.
